Matthias Demacker Formula Chairs

Here are some recent chair designs created by Matthias Demacker for Arrmet. Called the “Formula Chairs”, these pieces were recently presented at the Salone del Mobile, which is the international furniture fair in Milan, Italy. I find the design to be striking in how it conforms where the seat meets the backrest. By appearance, the planes of these chairs have been cut out some to provide more support for the person sitting in the chair. Besides the support, the cut outs create a great visual detail about the chair.
