Piet Mondrian Inspired Vase

I have always had a fond spot for Dutch modern master, Piet Mondrian. Piet’s paintings and choice of colors and shapes in the 1910s-1920s swept the art world. Though the art movement was moving towards cubism, Piet moved from traditional painting techniques to abstracts such as pictured here. Every year there is a sweater, purse, or design object made in the likeness of his works. This vase here from Chiasso features such influences. Dimensions: 9.5″x 7.5″ x 3″. Price: $78. Available: here. Via.
