Halo Chandelier Works Without Electricity

Industrial designer Piet Houtenbos reinvents the ubiquitous chandelier and successfully manages to assuage the monotonous with the “Halo”. The highlight of the chandelier is the stoneware glazed ceramic ring suspended by an armature of three facetted brass rods. The lighting system works without electricity and one needs to pour the lamp oil directly into the ring. A completely lit, fully filled ring can burn cleanly for up to 20 hours.
