Maison et Objet 2011 : Right Angle Mirror By Daniel Rybakken
Industrial design Daniel Rybakken has a proclivity towards regular dimensions and aluminum and this is also seen in the Right Angle Mirror. Exhibiting at the Maison & Objet in Paris , the futuristic mirror has been designed for Ligne Roset. Blurring the lines between reality and illusion, the mirror appears to be suspended in space draws in the consumer with its hypnotic aesthetic dimensions. The Right Angle Mirror has been CNC-milled from a single piece of aluminum and sports a chrome finished. In fact from certain angles it reminds me of a gigantic iPhone 4 but maybe thats just the Apple fan inside me. With this Right Angle Mirror, Daniel Rybakken brings a unique sense of experimentation to the forefront and is a great example of functionality meeting imagination.
