Designer Giancarlo Tintori reimagines the chandelier by giving it an unique contemporary twist. The Uma Chandelier has been designed for Nemo Cassina and is a stunning catalyst of creativity, imagination and functionality. The intricately designed lighting unit is a mesh of Baroque and modern aesthetics and the material of choice is surprisingly acrylic. By using fluorescent lights and methacrylate cones, the chandelier also reduces its carbon footprint and this design decision doesn’t compromise its sculpturistic presence either. The idea was to have “the same luster and visual magnificence as its traditional forebears, and an even greater sense of allure and mystique” and we must say Tintori succeeds beautifully.
