The Story Cabinet By Maxim Velčovský

In this mass produced world, it is always wonderful to come across creations that have a story behind them and are a testament to the designer’s craft and integrity. The Story Cabinet by Maxim Velčovský is a cupboard with character and has its own tale to tell. Designed exclusively for the Křehký Gallery, the cabinet has a classical frame and the legs are shaped along the profiles of gallerists Jana Zielinski and Jiří Macek  and handmade by Antonín Hepnar.

“I conceived the cupboard for Křehký as a small storage unit where individual limited editions, made exclusively for the Křehký collection, would be displayed. With regard to the minimalist design of the entire space by Olgoj Chorchoj, I wanted to introduce a piece of furniture that would refer to old cupboards and consist of basic geometrical modules.”
