Transparent Polycarbonate Electric Chair With Neon Lights
The rather morbidly named Electric Chair with its unique design sensibility is truly electrifying (pun intended). A collaborative effort between Robert Wilson and Kartell, the chair is a juxtaposition of transparency and electricity. Made out of transparent polycarbonate and equipped with strategically placed neon lights , the Electric Chair collection is shockingly (again with the puns) dramatic and seeks inspiration from another noted industrial designer, Tokujin Yoshioka from Japan. The contemporary styled collection with its avant-garde sensibility and quirky form factor epitomizes the Kartell design ethos and gets a thumbs up from us.
