Inspired by her young son’s ever-changing tastes, Allison Krongard pioneered one of the earliest brands of temporary wallpaper decals, with a penchant for overtly simple line art depicting objects like apples, popsicles, moustaches, double decker buses, and even simple Neapolitan ice cream stripes. The designs are all part of her WallCandy collection, which she launched in 2002. The line also includes peel and stick chalkboards, removable dry erase canvases and the claim of being “the original in surface graphics” – a trend that’s undoubtedly seen an uptick in popularity lately. Krongard’s designs come in full kits (4 rolls of wallpaper totaling 10.44 yards in length) and half-kits (2 rolls of wallpaper including 5.22 yards in length). Each roll is 26” wide by 94” long and features peel-and-stick vinyl. $169 for a half-kit; $388 for full. Available at Wall Candy Arts.
