The experimental housing project “Roll It” is the brainchild of the University of Karlsruhe and the idea is to save space but have all the trappings of a house. My first comment is that I wish I had more pictures of this project. These one story house plans feature a place to be built in Ojai, California. Ojai is a town of 8,600 people according to the 2003 census that is 33 miles from Santa Barbara and 83 miles from Los Angeles. Residential architecture projects can be a challenge due to zoning conditions and building codes as is the case in this project called “Malibu 7″. Kanner Architects was able to rise to the challenge despite these requirements and construct this 5,300 square foot amazing home.
