For the serious weekend warrior, the correct equipment is needed and the right barbecue grill should be on the top of the list. I had the pleasure of trying out the “Big Green Egg” ceramic barbeque grill – cooker derived from an ancient clay cooker called a Kamado, and I have nothing but positive things to say.
The space-age ceramics developed specifically for Big Green Egg makes it virtually indestructible under normal cooking conditions and locks in the heat which means even cooking in less time with the need for fewer coals.
Unlike most barbecue grills, the Big Green Egg is a smoker, a grill, and an oven that can be used in all weather conditions. Other features include non-rust construction, a stay-cool surface which is safer for the kids, less grease flare-ups, and the ability to reuse coals not fully burned.
